In Alaska first year Hot shots make about 48,000 dollars in a 6 and a half month season.

2nd years make roughly 58000 dollars, and 3rd years make around 64000.

All of this information is based off of how many hours hotshots typically work (over 80 hours per week) plus wages found on the Workplace Alaska website detailing the Wildland fire and resource technician positions.

Wage also varies by remoteness of your fire station, i.e. Delta Junction firefighters (very remote) make significantly more than Palmer firefighters (very close to Anchorage, largest city in Alaska).
