Can you die from over 20mg of Lorazepam?

It depends on what your metabolism and tolerance is. If you don't usually do a whole lot of benzodiazepines like Ativan, Valium, Restoril, Klonopin, etc., one could just die from that much.

What is the difference between Medically induced coma and medically paralyzed?

The brain is a funny thing. After an injury, the brain is under a lot of stress and can swell or react in ways that can cause further damage. Swelling in the brain causes more problems than say, if you twist your ankle. You're ankle can swell a lot without causing damage, but your brain is inside your skull, so if it swells, it doesn't have much space to go and pressure will build up inside. Increased pressure in the brain can cut off blood flow to parts of the brain and can kill healthy brain tissue, which can lead to a secondary injury, which can be worse than the initial injury. Doctors will give the patient sedatives, inducing coma to reduce swelling and pressure and to help minimize further damage to the brain. If the brain is "sleeping", it is resting and will reduce the need for blood and the overall blood flow to the brain. Less overall blood flow to the brain + less need for blood = less swelling = less damage. This is my understanding. Can definitely be improved upon. Hope this helps.

Is coma can be detected after death?

No, death pretty much trumps coma...a person won't be in a coma after they die. You might have some evidence, in the form of bedsores and wasting, that the person had lingered in a coma if the coma persisted for some extended time prior to death. .

Can Tylenol pm overdose kill you -?

Yes, overdose of any sort of Tylenol can kill you. It is not restricted to the PM. If it does not kill you, then it is a rough ordeal. If the overdose is large enough, you may not be able to keep the charcoal you are forced to drink down. There will be a good deal of vomiting. In some cases, you may be placed into a medically induced coma for a couple of days. Tylenol is very hard on the liver when taken in larger doses. There can be permanent liver damage.
