It depends on what they are fishing for (i.e. salmon, herring, shrimp, crab), what the market price per pound is, and how much they catch.

Salmon fishermen Average $100,000 a year gross.

If you are the caption of the vessel you may make 100,000 a year, pending expenses. I commercial fished in Alaska for 6 years. On my best year Salmon fishing I made 37,000 in 3 1/2 months. Now if you go on and do Halibut, hearing or long lining, you may make up to another 10,000 - 30,000. That also depends on the market an price per pound which is always fluctuating. Finally, the first season you fish, you will only make a small percent of the catch. Then every year you go back, the captain increases your percent of the profit.
