Vanderbilt is a very expensive university because they are private. I believe for instate students for med school it is like $16k a semester? Not sure on exact cost of tuition so don't quote me. But you must keep in mind that I only mentioned tuition. Not including mal practice insurance (Yes you will need that when you enter your 3rd and 4th year as a med student), cost of living arrangements, transportation (schools and hospitals are not always next door), food, phone (if you even have time to talk on it), etc.
