It will cost as much as a normal pony and probably as much as a horse dependent on where you live and if you decide to keep it on a grass livery with no stable but you would still have to be able to afford the livery fees, vets bills, farrier and equine dentist just like any other horse/pony. In the UK a grass livery can be around £10 upwards a week where i am but i will range and vets fees are very expensive especially of the pony falls ill. dentist and farrier wouldn't be very expensive though.
