How much does a recording studio earn?

That's a difficult question to answer ;)It's similar to asking "How much does an artist earn?". Since the answer can vary greatly I can only give you a range.Recording studios can earn anything from negative money per hour (ie: they're LOSING money by running a recording studio), anywhere to $300 or more per hour (depending on factors such as cost of the studio engineer and more). To price out a recording studio, you should look at your budget first and get testimonials of previous clients.

What is ADR Recording?

In the movie and TV business, there are a variety of reasons why audio recorded on a set is not useable. There may be too much background noise for the actors to be heard. A line may be unintelligable because the actor slurred a word, and maybe the line is crucial to the plot. Sometimes, if you have scantily-clad actors(no place to hide a mic) in a very wide shot, there's just no way to record them. All these instances would require you to bring the actors into a studio in post-production, to stand in front of a video screen, and track along with their lines, trying to match the voice and performance as closely as possible. That's ADR. ADR can also include the recording of 'walla', usually a crowd background. "Looping" is similar, but looping is usually meant replacing dirty words for clean ones, so the film can be shown on airlines and network TV.

How much does it cost to record a album?

Depends which of the 3 studio's located inside-1,2, or studio 3. There's also a fee for Engineers as well, unless you bring your own which may have to be approved by EMI. A deposit is required, as well as a waiting period for an opening. As far as cost- I'm not at liberty to say, you'll have to send them an email(abbeyroad.com). And since they receive payment in British Pounds, book your sessions when the US dollar is at its strongest(we recorded there when the US dollar was worth only 50cents over there!). I can say it's as much as a new car for a 3 day session, including Engineer fees! The restaurant inside the studio isn't free, you pay for your meals. However, during recording sessions artists receive a fresh fruit bowl every morning and as much coffee/tea/water as you can handle. And a free Abbey road mug and T-shirt if available!

How much do recording studios cost to make a demo?

It depends on the studio. Smaller studios sometimes offer a set price for recording a demo. Usually studios charge per hour and you record whatever you have. A typical studio is probably around $50 per hour. This will vary a lot depending on location and the gear. Usually you will get a discount for booking larger amounts of time. There isn't really a standard, you would have to look into each studio to find out their pricing.

How much does it cost to build a home recording studio?

Small studios, like those having only a soundcard in their computer, cost less. Recording of a symphony orchestra or an opera is very expensive. Recording only your voice to a guitar is much cheaper. What can you do with bratz dolls?

The Bratz dolls come with loads of accessories, furniture, houses and cars! So you can do pretty much anything with them! Cloe can phone up the girls to go to a recording studio: she picks them up in her car with opening doors and boot with real working FM radio and headlights! Then she takes them to the recording studio, where they can record songs ( Rock Angelz recording studio comes with microphone for you!) and then jump on stage and rock out with there guiotars and microphones! There is so much you can do with Bratz a 5* rating from me :D

How many Producer points on albums?

That depends on the artist's recording contract, their record label, and arrangements made with the producer. A "staff producer" working for a label or studio may receive no points; an independent producer may earn as much as a recording artist.

I want to be a singer and ive chosen a record company but what do i do next?

You have to record a demo. These days it's pretty easy to do as there are recording studios everywhere. You could even do it at home if you have a home recording studio. When your demo is finished then you send it to any record company you'd like to sign with (like Island Records for example). It also helps to keep performing live as much as you can so you can begin to develop the type of following that record companies look for in unsigned acts.
