It costs $25 per transfer of character realm to realm BUT if you already have a Death Knight and are trying to transfer another Death Knight to that realm, they won't do it. The rule Blizzard has set is only one Death Knight per realm.

∙ 13y agoThere is no listed cost currently, as all transfers have to be completed and approved within the customer service department. Transfering characters between accounts is only possible if they are both created with the same name - so only to yourself.

Can you log in to the character? Then it worked. Characters are locked while they are being server transferred, transferred to another account or other things like that.
