The SR-71 Blackbird, originally named the RS-71, but renamed when Lyndon Johnson accidentally rearranged the letters during his 1964 announcement of the existence of the SR-71 (or RS-71?). Anyway, it was designed by Clarence "Kelly" Johnson, at that time vice president of the Skunk Works. The project began in February 1963. The SR-71/RS-71 was built to be a strategic reconnaissance aircraft. Its first flight was on Dec. 22, 1964.
Regarding cost, the SR-71 was not cheap. The cost of running the SR-71 fleet in the 1980s was $260 million annually and It costs $50,000 an hour to fly the SR on a routine basis.
As for in 1997 the price of the Blackbird was $39m by now the price would be about $56m+
$33 million USD, before the Americans started using it. the price then became $34 Million USD
Because they cost so much and the air force could only afford 32.

You can not rent a SR-71 Blackbird. It is one of the most classified aerial vehicles ever. It was developed by Lockheed's Skunk Works.

air force one is the designation given to any plane the president is on. If you mean the usual plane, it is a converted Boeing 767. The plane that holds most records for speed and time\travel is known as the SR71 Blackbird. Actually the president's usual plane is a converted Boeing 747 called a VC-25, and the SR71 Blackbird is the fasted air breathing plane, so there are other unmanned rocket powered planes that can go much faster and much higher
The SR-71 blackbird has wings with an airfoil just like any other aircraft. It just flies much much faster than most.
The SR-71 Blackbird can fly way much more higher than Missiles. So the SR-71 Blackbird win.
