The price of uranium has fluctuated in the last few years. There was a long period of low demand when the price was as low as $7 per pound, but with increased interest to build new plant in the last 2/3 years, it has increased considerably. Current price is about $60 per pound (this is for yellowcake, U3O8). See www.uxc.com.
Of course to produce fuel for a reactor there are two major stages beyond production of yellowcake. 1, the enrichment in U235 to about 3.5 percent. In the US this is still done by the diffusion method which requires high input power. The US intends to follow other countries which use centrifuge technology, this will reduce processing cost. 2, the manufacture into reactor fuel rods, with zircaloy cladding.
US $ 51,5/lb (at 25.07.2011) or 113 USA $ per 1 kg (natural uranium in the form of the unrefined oxide U3O8).
US $ 51,5/lb (at 25.07.2011) or 11,3 cents per gram (natural uranium in the form of the unrefined oxide U3O8).
The price is dependent from: chemical form, physical form, enrichment, purity, etc.

During the year 2014 the uranium price was fluctuate; but on long term the price is increasing.
For natural uranium as the oxide U3O8 the price is now approx. 90 US $/kg.For uranium metal, enriched uranium, uranium dioxide nuclear grade etc. prices are significantly higher.
The price of 1 kg uranium octaoxide (U3O8) is approx. 90 US $/kg.
The price of uranium as the oxide U3O8 is approx. 90 US $/kg.These prices are permanently variable.
Approx. 150 $/kg for the unrefined oxide U3O8.

A price list for uranium certified materials is at: http://www.nbl.doe.gov/htm/lists/certified_reference_materials_price_list.htm Industrial uranium is not so expensive, the price depend essentially of enrichment. As an example, uranium dioxide powder - natural uranium, nuclear grade for HWPR reactors, is about 70 $/kg but the price is very variable in time.
Uranium is expensive in all countries. The price of uranium is approx. 90US $ per kg of oxide U3O8.

Approx. 150 $/kg for the unrefined oxide U3O8.
The concentration of uranium in sea water is approx. 4 micrograms/L.At this concentration the price of extraction is very prohibitive.
Disadvantages of enriched uranium:- it is very difficult to prepare- can be used for bombs- the price is prohibitive- need of a complicate and expensive technology
The price of uranium between October 2014 and March 2015 fluctuated in the range36-44 US $/lb U3O8.
The world price is now approx. 90 US $ for 1 kg of the oxide U3O8. I suppose that in India the price is similar.
