There is enough energy in ocean waves to power everything in the world. However the technology is still experimental and expensive. Solar and wind power is going to be cheaper and more sustainable.
130 percent more than wind energy energy
Nearly 42 million megawatts (MW) of power.
solar cells generate electric currents directly from the sun light
They generate electrical energy without also generating carbon dioxide, like other power plants. The amount of energy they generate is very small compared to other power plants, though, so they do not have much effect.
They generate as much energy as Becky Crossfield eats in a buffet :P
less than 100 kilowatts of electricity can be used to power a single home.
In 2012 the annual global solar energy production topped 100 000 Megawatts. That is 274 Megawatts a day. At peak power that is the equivalent of 100 large nuclear power plants.
The least expensive energy source causes too much pollution
A turbo charger can generate considerable amounts of energy for an engine. They will typically provide between 30 and 60 horse power each depending on the boost level.

What the water is contained in (seas, rivers, lakes, etc.), how much of it there is and the means by which you intend to use this water for power generation. The best way of using water to generate power is extracting the Deuterium (2H) atoms and using them with Tritium (3H) to generate energy by fusion. Unfortunately, this technology is still somewhat experimental.
