In this way, we use energy from the electrical outlet to take energy from the air over and over and over again until the air is a temperature that you like. Air conditioners do not however make allair cooler, They make air in one area cooler at the expense of adding heat to another area. This heat originates as the power put into the compressor. This is exactly the same way that a refrigerator makes its interior cold while making the room it is in warmer.
