For every degree that you raise the air conditioner's thermostat, you can have a savings of two percent on the electric bill. A general method to figure out energy saved per degree is to know that every degree above 70 will increases the energy cost by 7 percent to 10 percent.
Keep windows and doors firmly closed, look into better insulation for your home as well to keep in coolness, this way the air conditioner can be on less due to not having to replenish coolness as much.
How much space a room air conditioner can cool is dependent on the size of the unit. You can read the amount on the side of the box if you are not sure.
The sound absorption coefficient indicates how much of the sound is absorbed in the actual material. The absorption coefficient can be expressed as:α = Ia / Ii ………………….. (1)whereIa = sound intensity absorbed (W/m2)Ii = incident sound intensity (W/m2)absorption coefficient of materials varies from 0 to 1
The answer to your question is found in a science called Thermodynamics. If you have a chance to find a textbook, it is a fascinating science which studies the transfer of energy from one form to another. Hot air has a higher energy content then cool air. The air conditioner passes air over coils using convection to suck energy out of the air and into the much cooler coils. Because air coming out of the air conditioner has less energy, it has a lower temperature than the air that goes into the air conditioner. The coils are made cool by a chemical called refrigerant, which has special properties. The coils are made cold by the refrigerant when the refrigerant expands from a highly compressed state to a low compression state. The difference between these two states is one of low energy to high energy; the energy must come from somewhere, so the refrigerant sucks the energy from the coils, which in turn suck the energy from the air, so it forms a chain as such: decompressed refrigerant (takes energy from coils). The decompressed refrigerant must be compressed again, so energy is used to compress the refrigerant again so that the process can begin again. This is why every air conditioner has a compressor. The compressor uses energy from the electrical outlet to compress the air. In this way, we use energy from the electrical outlet to take energy from the air over and over and over again until the air is a temperature that you like. Air conditioners do not however make allair cooler, They make air in one area cooler at the expense of adding heat to another area. This heat originates as the power put into the compressor. This is exactly the same way that a refrigerator makes its interior cold while making the room it is in warmer.
When buying a portable air conditioner, you should worry about how much energy in which they consume. Seen as they are DC, they will not consumer as much as say an AC air conditioner which is powered from the mains.
The absorption of thermal energy from the ground heats the lower atmosphere and keeps Earth's surface much warmer than it would if there were no atmosphere. :)
The air conditioner itself does not release any carbon or carbon dioxide. But if the energy to power the air conditioner comes from a coal fired power plant, it takes more energy to reduce the temperature of a room than it does to heat it.

6300, lavoisier law
Air conditioning equipments consume 0.5 KW electricity per Kilowatt refrigeration.
It varies from air conditioning unit to unit. However, the exact energy usage will be on a name plate on the air conditioner. Look for a rating in either amps or watts.

There is now no ammonia in any of Loreals products.

None; ammonia is a moderately basic solution.
