Fish are cold blooded, and don't require energy to maintain their body temperature. They need very little food as a result. Generally the aquarium fish that we keep have a stomach about the size of their eye. If you feed them that volume of a good quality fish food per day, it should be sufficient. You can even skip one day a week and your fish will be well fed. It's also important to vary the menu. some live or frozen food once or twice a week will go a long way towards giving your fish adequate nutrition.

Feed them good food as described above but no more than they can consume in about 10 minutes. Otherwise they will not eat it and it will become rotten increasing the impurities in the tank.

depends what type of fish and how many, usually they need as much as they can eat in around 2 minutes, be careful too much flake food which isn't eaten will sink to bottom and rot away to ammonia
