First there is no longer true Red Nose Pitbulls. The true red nose was actually "Old Family Red Nose" and there was no one to keep the line going. There was a gentleman in the states (Joey Lewis) that kept alot of the old time bloodlines going by breeding the

lines together (careful and controlled) they became "Lewis" bloodline dogs. The Old Family Red Nose bloodline had to be kept pure to preserve the line and there was no one to take over so it slowly faded over time. I actually owed a Lewis dog (one of the last of the bloodline) purchased from Joey Lewis in Portland Oregon, he retired back in the early 90's and I believe it was his niece that took over and the line is now Briscoe, not sure how pure it has been kept, but the Pitbull Club could probably answer that. The author Richard F. Stratton has published some incredible books on pitbulls, they contain pictures of the True Old Time Bloods and the information is accurate, and straight from the mouths of the original old time dog breeders (creators of some of the best bloodline dogs). As for Blue Nose Pitbulls, I have never seen or heard mention on them when I was breeding (and a club member) back in the 80's, so as far as I know, they would have to be a newer line, what there background lines are is something I would have to look into.

For the record, I would see if I could purchase a dog from the club, you then know what you are getting, they are papered and believe me when I say it, they will not sell their lines to just anyone, they want them to remain pure and out of the press. You know that if you purchase one of their dogs, you are getting the best of the best. Hope this has helped you and good luck.
