The 1964 Plymouth Fury originally used R-12 refrigerant for its air conditioning system. When converting to a more modern refrigerant like R-134a, the system typically requires about 2 to 3 pounds of refrigerant, depending on the specific setup and any modifications made. It's important to ensure the system is properly retrofitted and leak-tested before adding refrigerant. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for the most accurate specifications.

I also have a '71 Plymouth Fury, and am in the process of replacing the horn relay. It is located in a fuse panel under the driver's side of the dashboard, near the floor. Just crawl under the steering column to find it. I know where it goes, but I can't seem to find a replacement horn relay anywhere! I ordered one from JC Whitney and it was the wrong one. Good luck, though!
dex-cool Dex-cool is anitfreeze which goes in the radiator and cooling system. As for Freon which goes in the air conditioning system, the 97 Volvo uses R134A Freon.
