They don't necessarily need more fat, but more nutirition from a good quality pellets like Oxbow's Cavy Cuisine (or even their cavy performance food that is alfalfa based so it has more calcium for the pups' growing bones, though alfalfa based foods aren't good for guinea pigs over 6 months anyways), unlimited ammounts of hay, lots of fresh greens like romaine lettuce/swiss chard/kale/spinach/ect..., and fresh clean water.
there is not really a set weight of a pregnant guinea pig, as they could be carrying one baby or 6 babies.

As it is edible for them and helps wear down their teeth. People feed timothy hay to guinea pigs that aren't pregnant or young as if you give a normal guinea pig alfalfa hay (which is for pregnant guinea pigs and young guinea pigs), it will be too high in calcium (I think) which is bad for them.
Guinea pigs pregnancies last for 10weeks
Yes.
It's true some guinea pigs can't get pregnant. Only if you don't keep her in a cage without any boys!
guinea pig
Yes actually
not usually
They can be pregnant but it is not fair for a baby guinea pig to have to hold up to 8 guinea pigs. There is a very high chance they will die. I had a guinea pig that was pregnant when I got her(she was 14 weeks when she had babies) and she had 2 babies and tey all survived.
You should take a guinea pig to a veterinarian if they are sick, obese, pregnant, or if they are in need of a routine checkup.
