How much homework should a first grader have every night?

The average amount of homework that a forth grader should receive daily should fall in the ten-minute-rule. Exceptions occur when projects are assigned. The ten minute rule for a ffourth grade is 40 minutes of homework a day.

often times a 6th grader will get homework in each major subject every other day. so one day you may have English and science while the other you'll have social studies and math. it really varies among your school and if you are in enriched level classes. Also, depends on the teacher's mood. Like if your class made her/him upset, more homework for a week.
