I am only here as I incorrectly put 600 grams of milk into the mix I am making for pancakes, it should have been 600mls. The answers I found online said that mls and grams, regarding milk, is similar in density, so there's very minimal difference in the weight. As an example 25 grams is just over 24 mls. But then another answer on milk and water highlighted there is a difference between the density of normal milk and light milk. On reading that, and the fact that I used light milk, I weighed 600 grams of water, I then converted 600 grams of water to mls, via the options on my kitchen scale, this gave the reading of 584mls. Looking at my pancake mix, I am not going to add anymore milk to it, as I think it's "fine." So, if you made the mistake of weighing the milk in grams, you are still below the mls as required, not by much, but it's way better than being over the required amount! Hope this helps!

If you are asking how the weight of 60ml of milk, fluid milk can have a density of 1.02 to 1.04 depending upon what kind of milk is used and the temperature of the milk.

For such a small volume, you could figure that the density is close to water and say that 60g is close enough. Or you could use an average density of 1.03 and calculate that 60ml would weight approximately 61.8g.

See Related Links for a milk density table and a volume-weight conversion calculator.

1 litre weighs 1 kilogram - that's how the metric system works.

1000 millilitres (ml) weighs 1000 grams (gm)

400 ml weighs 400 gm

300 ml = 1 pint or 20 fluid ounces

400 ml = 1.33 pints or 26.6 fluid ounces
