Actually, the Sears 583.7 is a High Standard Model 10, which is usually listed as a semi-automatic shotgun. The JC Higgins/Sears 5837 is a bolt-action tube-fed shotgun. I don't find any mention of a 5837 in any store brand cross-reference I've seen.
