value depends on overall condition.............................
1847-1853
If you call Colt they will tell you when it was made.
To answer your question, it needs verification, there are many copies, and good ones. Your's should not be a transition walker and there are several out there with that same number. There were 1000 military walkers made between Jan 4th 1847 and June 23 1847. There also 100 plus civilian walkers made. Serial range 1001-1102 possibly 1103. 1104 is a transition walker. I would love to tell you more and see your pistol as I am doing research on these and I know where the other 1088's are. My email is cubby123@clearwire.net
Proofhouse.com has Colt sn data.
Colt never made this weapon.
Colt has never made a 45/410 pistol
Colt was not in business in 1800. Samuel Colt was not born until 1814.
1897. IMO, worth spending the money to get it lettered by Colt
The Colt Ultra 10mm, UE057, is valued at $1,299 in good condition. It was custom made by Colt in 1989.
made about 1970
Bad news - there is no Colt Walker with that SN. Good news - you might have a 1st Model Dragoon made in 1848. Medium news - you could have one the reproductions that Colt has had made ove the past 30 or so years. They run about 650-800. Look it over carefully, if it is a reproduction, there will be Italian proof marks on it. Colt's records show that yours (sn 3794) is one of 2,573; manufactured by Colt from 06/80 to 04/82.
I have a colt 4 in. blue steel python made in the early 70,s 95% on the bluing. what is it worth.
