I'm guessing you are asking about an air rifle made by H.M. Quackenbush. If so, Then you will have to identify it and rate the condition first to get an answer. He made 5 different models that fall in this time period.
I suggest you locate a book at a book store called "Bluebook of airguns 8th edition" or any other edition, and look up H.M. Quachenbush in the "Q" section.
This should give you an answer. And Yes these air rifles are expensive and collectible.

a 1886 knife is worth allot only if it's good condition and clean and has some kind of marking on it to say it was made in 1886.

There were model 1887 lever action shotguns made by Winchester ( I have a 12 ga). These are worth in the range of $1200 to $5000 depending on condition. I am not aware of any Model 1886 Winchesters in a shotgun.
