I honestly do not believe that Rolling Stone magazine is attempting to profit from terrorism by putting the picture of the bomber on their cover. Admittedly, one could argue that for a magazine whose official topic has always been rock and roll, this makes a peculiar choice of cover picture, but they have often dealt with news items in the past, and it is within their editorial prerogative to choose their own cover picture. The Rolling Stone is simply engaged in journalism, as is their right. The whole controversy about this seems excessive.
