This is a partial answer. If you mouth off to the officer your ticket cost is problably going to be higher than that of someone that is nice to the officer. How do I know this? Cause I went to driving school with a lady that got the exact same ticket that I did (she showed me her ticket), but she was stopped by the officer in front of me. As I sat there waiting for my turn to be written up (35 in a 25) I heard her yelling at the officer. My fine was $55.00 her fine was $240.00. Moral of the story? It pays to be nice to mister policeman!

Well i dont know about what state you may be in, but in Indiana doing 5-15 MPH over the speed limit is $90.00 and goes up from there. I got pulled over for doing a 69MPH in a 40MPH zone, and my ticket was $125.00 and i was also told that i could have been arrested for wreakless driving.. Thank God all my ticket was for was speeding.

Probably around $300.00. I think it is like $10.00 per mile over the speed limit. It also depends on if it was city, state, or parish with city being the cheapest. Where I live causeway tickets are really high.
