Well this is depends on which "branch of FedEx" you are talking about. FedEx Express starts off aound approx. 13.00/hr. From there they are mostly performace review raises. But if you are lucky and fall at the bottom of the pay scale, you'll get a cost of living adjustment, when and if raises come around. But if you are in the middle, the only thing you can hope for is to do good on your review, and then there is a mathematical formula that they use to determine a raise. Then there are "Swing Drivers", {those who cover for those who are on vacation and/or sick). They are paid a premium, approx. $1.00 extra per hr. To go through the hassle of not knowing what they are doing from day to day, and week to week. It takes about 7-10 years to "top out" and depending on where you live, it could be approx. $22-25/hr.

My husband drives for a Fed Ex contractor (for about 4 years) out of Morton, IL. He grosses about $700 per week with no benefits. He works 10-12 hours per day Mon- Fri. Around Christmas his hours are longer and the pay is a little more.
