too much
To whoever said too much, I'd like to see you interpret for someone. It's not as easy as you think, just so you know.
LOL@too much. If you knew the training and effort it takes to sign you'd think they need to be paid more! To answer the question: There is no exact price. It can be anywhere from minium-wage (few dollars and hour USA) or a couple hundred dollars an hour. It really depends on what type of job they are interpreting for. It'll be higher for say someone who has to interpret in a court where they are interpreting several different parts at one time vs. someone who is interpreting one-one.
Why would I comment if I didn't know? What do you think about interpreters requesting $80/hr so that a Deaf person can attend job training for their minimum wage job? The law says one thing, but employers do not want to pay that. It affects the entire job market for Deaf people.
Court Interpreters get between $35 - 65 an hour depending on the rarity of the language with a min. of 2 hrs per assignement.
It depends upon the companies and the experience of the individuals. And How well they are in interpreting the language. It depends upon the demand too,in some countries we cannot find more interpreters like Arizona where the demand would be high and compensation as well. And in some countries like America there is high competition for interpreters.

Interpreters work orally, translating spoken language in real-time between parties who do not share the same language. Translators work with written text, transferring written content from one language to another while preserving the original meaning and tone.
