It honestly depends. Where you get your degree; for one you can go to princetonreview.com and look at med schools and they have estimated average salaries right out of med school. It also depends on how long you work for, where you work, what state you work in. I know research doctors who have been working for 15 years who who make 250,000 and I know people who just got out of Ivy League med schools (penn) and are making 40,000 their first year during residency. There is no general average salary because it relies on so many thing.
