Most thermostats are $25 or less, probably closer to $15. If you're going to do it yourself, however, make sure you get a new thermostat housing gasket as well so that it won't leak when you put it back together. On that note, make sure you have a tube of RTV or whatever the recommended sealant is before you start so you aren't trapped needing to go on a parts run with an undriveable vehicle.
