In order to become citizen you have to live in U.S. for 5 years (in my case I had to have a greencard and live in States for 4.5 y. before I could apply) You will need to fill out I-400 form and send a check for $390, $320 for I-400 form, $70 for biometrics. Thousands of dollars, hours of filling out forms and mailing documents, many phone calls with embassies that don't care about you, and a trip to a court house to be naturalized.

It's the most extensive process, extremely annoying, but 100% worth it.

You don't have to pay, it takes time to be a citizen. For some people it takes up to 10 years to be a citizen if you do the paperwork.
