Custer's Calvary experienced defeat at the Battle of Little Big Horn. Indians following Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse pretty much wiped out Custer's seventh Calvary during that battle, when the Indians fought to stay off reservations.
The price of a horse varied depending on the location in colonial times. In colonial Virginia, a horse could be purchased for 1500 pounds of tobacco.

My husband and I were there in April 2012 and paid $10 each to go see Crazy Horse Memorial and not much has been done (other than the face of crazy horse) which was completed in 1998. The Crazy Horse Memorial was started back in 1948. So, obviously, it is a very slow work in progress. It sure it won't be completed in my lifetime, if ever.

None. The monument is built with mostly Bluestone inside the monument and Marble as the outside facing.
Mount Rushmore That could be argued but there are many others too. The Gateway Arch in St. Louis is much taller and wider but with less mass at 630 ft x 630 ft. While the faces on Mt. Rushmore are only 60 ft tall with varying widths. But lets not forget the Crazy Horse monument that has been in the works since 1948 but is still far from completion. It is planned to be 563 feet high and a whopping 641 feet wide.
Crazy Horse was pulled from the market decades ago...however...I have a case of 40 ounce bottles of the original Crazy Horse Malt Liquor for sale. A Dalecarlian horse or Dala horse is a traditional carved and painted wooden statuette of a horse originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna. In the old days the Dala horse was mostly used as a toy for children; in modern times it has become a symbol of Dalarna as well as Sweden in general. Several different types of Dala horses are made, with distinguishing features common to the locality of the site where they are produced. One particular style has, however, become much more common and widespread than others. It is stoutly carved and painted bright red with details and a harness in white, green, yellow and blue.
