One third of coal's energy reaches the consumer.
Burning a material converts chemical energy into thermal energy.
Electricity does pollution in many ways. It begins pollution at the very beginning when produced in thermal power stations.Electricity doesn't pollute directly, it helps other machines to pollute. For eg: Eletricity is used for many appliances, which may malfunction and catch fire, leading into many other problems. Electricity is one of the cleanest sources of energy. But making the electricity can cause many pollutions. A common method of generating electricity is to burl fossil fuels. Burning fossil fuels can cause pollution, but not the electricity. But wasting electricity can lead to burn more fossil fuels to generate it. In small scale, electricity is obtained by chemical reactions in non rechargeable cells. These cells contains Murcury, cadmium and various pollutents. Even in the rechargeable cells when they are inally dumped can cause a huge damage to the environment. But there are various clean methods of generating electricity without the pollution. Generating electricity with fallig water or hydro electricity is one of the clean ways of generating electricity. This is the majour source of electricity used in Sri Lanka. The initial cost is heigher; but in long run, it needs nothing but constantly falling water. Solar cells are also a clean source of electricity. This is good for small scale electricity requirements. Costs a lot, but good in long run. Needs little maintainance and no fuel but Sun Shine.
jfjgakjkjdfkajfkascarb burning i dont know if it right but it sure is a better answer than jfjgakjkjdfajkas :)
Geothermal energy is considered a renewable energy source. Which means that, unlike the fossil fuels we rely on for energy, we can continue to use geothermal without having to be concerned that we will run out of energy. In terms of electricity generation, a geothermal power plant will emit only about 1% of the carbon dioxide that a fossil fuel powered plant would produce to generate the same amount of electricity. Although this may not be as good as solar or wind powered forms of electricity generation, geothermal does have the advantage of being able to produce a steady supply of electricity 24/7, something that most renewable energy sources can't.
You keep on having energy but under another form. For instance, the light energy that you get from the sun, you may convert it into electricity by using photovoltaic cells or equivalent. Now, you haven't the heat from the sunlight, but you can use the generated electricity to produce heat again. You can transform energy on a direct way or the transformation shall follow some steps. Transformation of energy means that you can obtain determined kinds of energy which fits better for your purposes.
It will go into the electric power grid and be used as any other form of electricity - by the time it reaches the consumer the source is unknown
According to the EIA, or energy information administration, the United States is the largest consumer, producer and net importer of electricity.
Burning the stored energy of fossil fuel
No, sauna works on electricity or burning firewood.
In India we have 300 sunny days - but we ignore this renewable energy to produce electricity.
Nuclear energy supplies a proportion of electricity used, in the US this is about 19 percent, so a consumer imports that proportion of nuclear energy. The actual amount clearly depends on how much electricity that consumer uses.
The Consumer Focus Energy Price Comparison Tool can cut your bills down. The Consumer Focus Energy Price Comparison Tool allows you to compare gas and electricity prices in your area from all energy suppliers.
Coal burning (for electricity), oil products for transport
The alternatives to burning coal for electricity generation are:Water (hydro power) if availablenuclear energybiomass and geothermal energyrenewable energy sources as solar and wind energy.
The burning of coal itself does not release electrical energy, coal is burned to drive a turbine, the turbine in turn produces electricity.
heat energy conversion in generation of electricity..i.e..burning of coal..
No. Most of our energy comes from burning coal.
