You shouldn't give an animal liquid benadryl. The liquid formula has too much alcohol in it and could cause alcohol poisoning.
The dose for benadryl tablets is 1 mg per pound three times a day. Generally benadryl comes in 25 mg tablets , so you can cut one in half for your dog. It generally does only a fair job for itching in dogs. If the problem persists make and appointment with your vet.

While the cream or lotion is more common in treating bug bites there are other forms of medicine that can be taken. There are antihistamines including Benadryl that are now offered in a pill form and effective in treating bug bites.
Promethazine (Brand Name: PHENERGAN) Diphenhydramine (Brand Name: BENADRYL) These medications can safely be taken in combination therapy together. Phenergan is widely used to treat nausea/vomiting and comes in an injectable, suppository and pill form and can only be obtained with a prescription. A guava is a type of fruit. It is not sold in pill form in much the same way that a pineapple is not sold in pill form. I'm wondering if you perhaps meant guarana (supposedly it's a herbal stimulant added to energy drinks) ?
Diphenylhydramine (Benadryl). Edit: Diphenhydramine is considered Benadryl but 44-367 is used as a sleep aid. You can find it at walgreens.
This medication is usually given orally by owners, although some vet clinics have an injectable form the vet can give intravenously or intramuscularly if the dog is having a severe allergic reaction.
You can take your benadryl along with your pill. No wait. It is an antibiotic that there could be a problem. I took birth control pills for 20 years along with allergy meds and there was no problems.
I was going to give my 10lb cat 1.25 ml of Benadryl. I got one little drop on the back of his tongue and he went BALLISTIC! I don't recommend the liquid. I went back and purchased the pill form. If you have trouble with that, they make medicine pouches you can purchase at PetSmart. It's a small treat with a whole for the pill. The cat gobbles it down without realizing he has taken any medication. Plus, this way it is far less tramatic for him.

It all depends on the weight of the dog, ask your vet
I am a registered Vet assistant, and have been working at a vet clinic for some time. WE give liquid and pill form benadryl quite often to dogs. The rule of thumb is 1mg per pound. For example: a 25lb dog can take 25mg of benadryl. I read on a veterinarian hospital page that you were NOT supposed to give the liquid form of benadryl to dogs.
Assuming you mean Toradol ( ketorolac). It does come in a pill form.
