Please check your coin and post a new question. No US silver dollars were minted after 1935. Minting of $1 coins wasn't resumed until 1971, and all circulating versions were made of copper-nickel from that year till 1999. Starting in 2000 the composition was changed to the familiar gold-toned brass used in Sacajawea and Presidential dollars.
