A Fire Hydrant should always be opened and closed fully, but only by a qualified operator. A valve (gate, not ball) should be used at the point of connection to the hydrant to control flow.

A fire hydrant should be opened fully to ensure maximum water flow and pressure during firefighting operations. Opening it partially may restrict the flow and hinder firefighting efforts.

How much is it if you crash into a fire hydrant?

How much would you be charged. Well that all depends now doesn't it. If you driving at 300 km/h down a 50 km/h zone, that's liek $100,000 for speeding, if your in a ferrari and you hit the hydrant that's going to be like $500,000 for the car and probably approx. $2,000 for the hydrant and then you get charged for dangerous driving. So all together it would be good to avoid this type of situation.

How much is the apartment renters insurance per month?

Renter's insurance is fairly inexpensive. Prices will vary due to your area, distance from a fire hydrant and/or department, number of units, etc. If you have auto insurance, the company with your policy should have renters insurance available. Bundling the two policies would make it cheaper.
