It should cost about 75 dollars to replace a timing belt. The belt itself cost about 25 dollars but you are looking at around 50 for labor. So if you do it yourself you can do it for 25 bucks!
You timing belt replacement will cost approximately $500. Replacing the timing belt is very complicated and detailed. A novice mechanic should not attempt to do it.

$90 for the part - probably several hundred for the labor to install it.
In upstate NY it's about $500-600.
2006 corolla has a timing chain which does not have to ever be replaced.
depends on whether or not the belt has snapped,if not £250.00 should cover it,if it has then it depends on the amount of engine damage caused.
At a Honda dealership around $900 with replacement of the water pump also.
Cost of replacement should be the cost of the belt plus not more than 1 hour labor (1/2 hour is more like it but some shops have a 1 hour minimum). Shop rates vary, but $50 to @100 per hour is fairly typical.
For a 2003 Neon, a car nearly identical to the 2005 version, you should figure $700 cost to replace a timing belt at a dealership. However, sometimes you can get a better deal as a small local repair shop. Keep in mind that this is for a replacement only, if the timing belt broke, there is a chance that the engine could have taken damage.
Unfortunately this can be an expensive fix, especially if the timing belt damaged any other parts when it broke. If you are driving fast when the belt breaks, it can cause damage to the engine too. On average, the timing belt alone plus labor can cost about $800 - $1,000.00 to fix.
I paid $700 for timing belt/water pump replacement for a full cam with 4 tensioners on a '99. The normal price the guy charges is $600 but since I had 4 tensioners instead of 2, it was $100 more.
i believe the 2003 has a timing chain and so does not require a change or replacement even in the owners manual its not listed for the 4 cylinder model only if your water pump is leaking then you would require to change the water pump. but for the 6 cylinder you do need to do the timing belt replacement at certain intervals.
