Well the alternator itself will run anywhere between $100-$200, you can do it yourself or pay a mechanic and that alternator will run $150-$250 and labor would be around $100. If you want to DIY whis is pretty easy since the alternator is staring at you when you pop the hood, you need not special tools for this job. Just unhook the battery terminals 1st! I cannot stress this enough, loosen the belt tensioner to pop the belt off of the alternator (try and remember how the belt was on just incase you don't have a diagram on the hood), unplug any wires connected to the alternator, unbolt the 2 or 3 bolts holding the alternator in place. Just reverse the steps and your all good to go (minus reprograaming your radio stations)
