This is one of the Presidential Dollar coins that is in circulation today if you look at the edge of the coin you will see the date, mint mark and motto.If you got it from a bank or in pocket change it's just a dollar.

The dual dates seen on the front of any of the Presidential Dollars are the years served in office. The issue dates (2007 for this one) and mintmarks are on the edge of the coins. None of the coins are made from GOLD! They are made of brass. Any of the coins found in circulation are only face value.

It's part of the current Presidential Dollar series and its value is one dollar. It's made of brass, not gold.

The date, mint mark and motto are on the edge of the coin. 1809-1817 refers to his term as president.
