Well that's an interesting question! The bamboo that they eat provides nutrition and water for them! But they also predominately get their water for surrounding streams and lakes in the Himalaya :). They prefer to be high in the tree tops and only really come down to drink water and hunt for food (small reptiles, birds, insect and fruit!) to supplement their HUGE bamboo intake! They are an amazing animal! Thanks for spreading the awareness of them!

∙ 15y agoTheir diet (Bamboo grass) is high in water but low in other nutrients. The bamboo is so unnutritional that Pandas can't get enough fat to hibernate.
