In the UK there is not such thing as a standard amount of compensation for a shoulder injury and surgery. It all depends on the nature of the injury - both the severity and duration verified by medical evidence.
For examples of compensation amounts for accident at work shoulder injuries see the link below.
Workers Comp settlements depends on the state the employee resides. Some state institute structured pay settlements, while others push lump sum payments. The average settlement consists of two thirds of the employees weekly pay.
Workman's comp usually pays all medical expenses as a result of an accident. Your boss may have a contract with a certain provider that you must use. It usually pays for missed income. In this state, that is it. It paid to get the broken part fixed. It paid my salary while I was out of work. Workman's comp was set up to replace lawsuits. Generally the injury required to use a lawsuit is severe.
In the United States, workman's comp is a local issue with each state having its own rules.

Shoulder joint replacement is very successful in relieving any type of shoulder joint pain. This surgery can correct any form of painful shoulder condition and associated shoulder arthritis type. This surgery is considered a final treatment plan, when all forms of lifestyle change and medications fail to cure pain. Painful shoulder arthritis means the removal of smooth cartilage surfaces of the shoulder.
Shoulder surgery can be performed in two fundamentally different ways: either using closed surgical techniques (arthroscopic surgery ) or using open surgical techniques.

My injury is cosidered log term and I have to have surgery on my shoulder. I am trying to find out what a good settlement is for this injury. I can't seem to get any straight answers. I have been out of work since Jan. and it is going to be six months after surgery before I can even consider going back to work. So I will be out of work for about 13 months. I am really concerned that I will not be able to do heavy equipment operating again. I have torn the rotor cuff in my shoulder. I would appreciate any input anyone has to help me feel alittle better about my workmen's compensation suit. Thank you for your time and help... Dwren56@yahoo.com
