I called Costco and was told that a 30 day prescription of Lexapro (20 mg) was over $90. There are some on line pharmacies out there that claim to have a generic form of Lexapro for $30/mo. There are also some sites that claim to be Canadian which sell the European version of Lexapro for less. My problem is that I know that this isn't a generic Lexapro. Right now, I am struggling with getting off the stuff, so it isn't really an issue. I would count on at least $90 per month for 20 mg. unless you want to try some of these online sites, which I would be leary of. Who knows what this stuff is.
Hey - I actually am in a situation where I do not currently have insurance and I cannot fill my lexapro prescription because it's going to cost about $130 a month. So I guess it varies but that was at Walgreens, CVS and Target. So if someone knows of a place much cheaper, I would love to know because instead I was put on Prozac and I HATE it.
Typically, the cost is around $60 per month, but some plans pharmacies charge as much as $90 or more per month (minus whatever your insurance may cover). Copays run from $15 - $35 per month, depending on the insurance plan.
around 500
I asked my Insurance company after I found out the cost, and she looked it up and told me NO! there is not a genric form of Lexapro, (sorry guys, i hate the cost myself) The patent on Lexapro runs out in 2012, after which time a generic version (escitalopram oxalate) will be available.
