Effective this century, REPRODUCTIONS (or copies) are now being manufactured by companies. Repro's can be purchased for under $100.

Note: It will take research and comparisons to an actual war helmet to determine whether or not it's a reproduction (copy). Unfortunately, there is NO LAW stating that those reproductions (copies) have to have the words REPRODUCTION stamped on them. Therefore, the collector's world must be fought against fraud (fake helmets being sold as original).
