In Wicca there is no traditional rule for hairstyles. Wicca doesn't have any directive regarding hair styles, beards etc. as some other religions do. Most commonly, it is a matter of personal choice. But there are other factors to consider. A person's hairstyle may be deemed by heritage, culture, sub-culture, workplace, or school. A Native American Wiccan may have a Native American hairstyle. A person with a dual faith, may have a haircut pertaining to one faith over the other... for example A Buddhist Wiccan may have a shaved head. A Wiccan who is part of a punk-rock band, may sport a Mohawk. I myself, have had several hairstyles since I officially became a Wiccan in 2001. I have had a Mohawk (dyed purple... then later green), spiked hair, long hair (which I usually tied back ina pony tail, a shaved head, and a few others. Now, my hair is short, and I usually wear a Baseball-cap over it. --Chado2423
