In the long run, everyday of the year is a Friday one-seventh of the time (each day is equally likely to occur). In the short term this can be different, as leap years occasionally "skip" the Friday which can make the Friday not appear for over a decade. Other times it could occur twice with only 6 (or 5) years apart depending on the leap years.

In 2012 March 1 will be on a Thursday and in 2013 it will be on a Friday. The next Friday March 1 will occur in 2019, followed by 2024.
