Baby guinea pigs are very advanced when they are born, so you can hold them as soon as they are dry after birth. Mother guinea-pigs don't reject their babies like other rodents do, so it's quite safe to hold them within half an hour. Make sure you keep them warm, and as soon as they start to call for their other, give them back to her.
Untill he/she stops breast feeding. Also from me,if your talking about if you bought him from a pet store full grown WAIT until he/she gets too know you and trust you.
At least one day or when they do not skit into hiding when you try to feed them. Let them settle in first.
Often when a guinea pg is happy they make little happy grunts And will often popcorn (suddenly jump in the air like having a siezure or like popcorn popping)
When it tells you it wants to be.
when my guinea pig had babies i held her and she was fine
your should hold your guinea pig for about 30min to an hour each day
guinea pigs are not tlike hamsters after a day or too you can hold on hamsters will eat their young but guinea pigs wont
It will scare them but you can hold them. Also if away from the mom they will squeal loudly and they can be with the male and if you can hold a baby and the dad guinea pig together they will get along.
when you have a baby guinea pig hold it close to you body. have one hand cuped under his body and the other and gentley over his back. If you talk softley ( but loud anough so it can here you) he will feel more cofterbal when you hold it. hope i helped :) thanks for the question!
You should wait until the mother wont suckle them anymore. aka start eating normal food
You most certainley can , only if they are a week and half old .You must allso wash your hands before and after holding your newborn piggie , the reason why you was before and after is because washing before with warm water will keep it for geting sick or getting deseises and after will always keep you clean and if him/her is sick or have deseise it wont harm you
You may handle a guinea pig the day it is born! As long as it is dried off you may hold it.
It just sits on your lap for a while ther week nice.
no you shouldn't be scared
put in a baby bath and hold its head!
