EDIT: Actually, you don't need a work permit in Florida, according to Florida Law, since I was asked this in an application like 2 weeks ago (when I turned 14).

You can work in Florida if you are 14 years old or older. However, there are restrictions on when and how much children under the age of 17 can work.
