depends on how much experience he has ...when i was his age i started at 5 dollars an hour...but he can prolly get 6 bucks if he keeps his head up straight. Seeing as I was twelve two years ago I wouldn't say that you can charge very much. Twelve year olds really aren't that responsible and connot be very experienced in babysitting. I would say the most you could charge is $5.50 an hour you should start lower, at about $4.25, and gradually increase. Twelve years olds won't be trusted as much a fourteen or fifteen yearolds so many people would rather pay more for teens with more experience. I started out babysitting for my 3 younger brothers when I was about 10 or 11 years old and worked my waty to my cousins when I was 12. I think it depends how trust-worthy you can be. For example, if you are the youngest in your family or you are an only child at 12 years old, I think you might be a little un-trust-worthy because you don't have any experience. If you are the oldest and have younger siblings, I think you are pretty trust-worthy. Here is my answer to how much you should charge- Have younger siblings/ you are the oldest- $5.00 an hour + $2.00 ( if you are cooking)= $7.00 per hour Only child/ youngest- $4.00 an hour = $2.00 ( if you are cooking)= $7.00 per hour The response before is completely incorrect. It depends on experience, not age!
The babysitter has to be legally 12 years old, have access to emergency numbers, have full knowledge of the use of stove, microwave, etc.
It depends. Do you have experience? If you do, then I normally charge $3.
4 dollars an hour, per child.
probably around $6 /per hour /per child
not enough but to much
I think it depends on the experience of the babysitter. My 14 yr. old daughter is Red Cross certified with child CPR certification and she charges $7.00/hr.
i think you should do babysitting
i think you should do babysitting
Children should not watch children. If you have someone watch your children they should be paid the going rate for the job. Having responsibility for a child's care and welfare is a bigger job than most children are able to do. There is more to child care or babysitting than most people are aware of. Anything can happen at any given time and a child (if chosen to do this job) should be able to make adult choices about any given situation that may occur. If you have a child babysit, this child should be paid the going rate that any adult would make.
