Once you start getting into the late-40's, having a child can be risky. Your child will have a higher chance of having genetic diseases such as Down syndrome and Autism. It is still possible to have a child, it's just very risky.

∙ 13y agoNot necessarily, but women in their 40s who get pregnant tend to experience more complications. It's probably best to talk to an OB/GYN about this, though if the woman is in good condition and her body is functioning well, I don't see why not.
