How old should you be to shave?

The short answer is, when you're at an age when you don't have to ask the question.

The long answer: Do whatever you want but any gimp on this site that tells you that you should shave your pubes is seriously twisted in the head.

Example of previous dumb advice: "All sexually active men should shave their penises--NOT all their pubes, just their penises. If you don't, you'll either get hair tangled up in your condom, or you won't be able to roll it on completely. "

Seriously? Are they a virgin? What do you think people did for the last 5000 years, before razors were invented? BTW condoms have been around longer.

Any man or woman that won't sleep with you because you haven't bothered to shave your thatch smoother than a baby's arse doesn't like you that much and therefore doesn't respect you. Why should you even indulge that?

These people are offering their personal preferences but aren't answering the real question here. Why the f*^&K do you feel the need to do it? Are you that insecure? You think it's dirty? Grow a back bone....and a brain.

Generally boys start shaving around the age of 17-18 years. But it depends on the hormonal changes and sometimes facial hair grow before that age too. Some people hardly have facial hair growth even at the age of 20-21 so shave at later age only.

So as such there is no fixed age on when one starts to shave because it depends on person to person.

AnswerThere is no particular age, it is just a matter of preference. Sometimes it is good to keep it trimmed or short if you are active or during the summer to keep a build up of sweat from the excess hair. I would not recommend it before age 12 unless you are athletic and need to (such as a gymnast, swimmer, diver, dancer etc.)
