40-60's
I WOULD ESTIMATE THE VALUE TO BE $100.00
My dad bought this shotgun for me when I was 16 years old which would have been in 1961-62 era.
Would need the specific model number.
I would be interested in your shotgun. contact me at mhtom21@yahoo.com
Gun Parts Corp has correct Higgins buttplates, but they would have to be fitted to the stock.
It would be a matter of opinion but I would say the Winchester Model 37.
A receiver is legally a firearm, and is a regulated part. You would need to contact a gunsmith- and you will find you can buy a complete shotgun for less.
NO!!! A 12 gauge shotgun takes only 12 gauge shells. A 20 gauge shell would fall into the barrel and get stuck about half way to the muzzle. You would be in for a nasty surprise when you put a 12 gauge shell behind it and pulled the trigger!!!
This would be a Stevens single shot worth up to $75.
THIS Glenfield MOD 50 BOLT ACTION SHOTGUN WAS MANUFACTURED 1966-1972. I HAVE ONE AND ALSO CANNOT LOCATE THE SERIAL NUMBER.
They don't have much of a collector following. As a result the value is based on being a shooter. Range would be from 150-300 USD.
Depends on the shape it's in. $75.00-$125.00 would be a good estimate though. This is a Mossberg shotgun made in the 50's most likely.
