Best Answer

this is a really tough question to answer...anyway few points are 1. Dry deposition of particles and gases on the plant decreases the photosynthesis[Bergin et al., 2001 and sitch et al., 2007]. But nitrogen deposition is good for plants. 2.Acid rain is hazardous to the plant health. Pollution (particles present in the atmosphere) increases the diffuse radiation and this icreases photosynthesis. vijayakumar

Pollution can affect photosynthesis by reducing the amount of sunlight reaching plants due to smog or particulate matter in the air. It can also deposit harmful substances on plant surfaces, inhibiting photosynthesis by interfering with the absorption of light or the conversion of carbon dioxide into sugars. Additionally, pollutants like heavy metals can damage the chloroplasts in plant cells, further impairing the process of photosynthesis.

How does pollution affects the rate of photosynthesis?

Pollution can directly impact photosynthesis by reducing the amount of sunlight available to plants due to smog or particulate matter in the air. Pollution can also contaminate the plant's leaves, blocking the stomata and reducing the exchange of gases necessary for photosynthesis. Additionally, certain pollutants like sulfur dioxide can damage chlorophyll, hindering the plant's ability to absorb sunlight.

How does changing the light intensity effect photosynthesis and why?

By changing the light intensity the rate of photosynthesis will either increase or decrease because it is one of the factors that affects photosynthesis. If you increase the light intensity the rate increases but if you decrease the light intensity the rate decreases.

How does over supply or under supply of the Co2 concentration affects the rate of photosynthesis?

OVERSUPPLY OF SUNLIGHT the plant will be dry and died UNDERSUPPLY OF SUNLIGHT the plant will be withered

Does temperature affects the photosynthesis?

Yes, temperature affects the rate of photosynthesis. Within a certain range, an increase in temperature can generally increase the rate of photosynthesis by providing more thermal energy for the reactions to occur. However, excessively high temperatures can denature enzymes involved in photosynthesis, leading to a decrease in photosynthetic activity.

What affects the rate of photosynthesis?

The main variables which affect photosynthesis are light, CO2 concentration and temperature. You should be able to explain how each of these has their effect on the rate of photosynthesis. Although water is needed as a raw material for photosynthesis, if water is short, it will cause the plant to wilt (and thereby lose its ability to capture sunlight) long before it limits photosynthesis at the biochemical level. On a deeper level, other factors like amount of chlorophyll, availability of nutrients (eg Mg is needed for chlorophyll synthesis) will also affect the rate of photosynthesis, though these are rarely covered in discussion of this topic. Does the solar eclipse affects the photosynthesis?

Yes it affects the process of photosynthesis. As solar eclipse block out some sunlight, the rate of photosynthesis will be slower.

How does drought affect photosynthesis?

Photosynthesis requires sunlight (it is one of the main factors necessary for Photosynthesis) and during droughts sunlight is not obtainable. Therefore, it affects the process of Photosynthesis.
