The Voyager 1 aids in space explorationin not only fulfilling it's original job which is to study the planetary syestems of juipiter and saturn but also continuing it's study in the outer solar system by exploring there as well. It passed the pioneer 1 space probe in the jouney to what scientists beleive asgoing to theheliosphere and maybe someday even pastthe solar system.
Voyager 1 was launched on the 5th of September 1977 and Voyager 2 was launched before voyager 1 on the 20th of August 1977.

Voyager 1 weighed about 1582 pounds, or about 722 kilograms. A link can be found below for more information.
The fastest man made space craft today is Voyager 1. This space craft was launched in 1977 and travels at 11 miles a second, (39,000mph) which, if you think about it, is pretty pathetic. Although, with the help of the gravitational pull from other planets, that Voyager 1 has passed, or have yet to pass, it's probably going faster. But still, Voyager 1 is over 30 years old, and so far it's past Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. And as of 11/16/11, Voyager 1 is at the outer-most region of the Solar System. It's still unknown when exactly Voyager is going to enter inter-stellar space, but scientist expect it to enter inter-stellar space some time in 2012.

there were two main spacecrafts the voyager 1 and the voyager 2 that flew to Jupiter and in to deep space. It was in 1979.

Because they were the first vehicles to leave the solar system.

Things that the Voyagers both did was take pictures of gas planets and record sounds from them planets as they orbited them. Now the Voyager 1 heads to the interstellar space while the voyager 2 does work on the outer solar system.

Space exploration is an important part of our life today. The main reasons for exploring space are:- 1) The urge to know what is out there2) By space exploration, we get to know if there is any harm from the heavens coming our way3) The sheer thrill of it
