If your D4 button is blinking along with your speedometer not working then it might be your VSS (vehicle speed sensor) that is out. You can get another one from the junk yard fairly cheap however this is a common problem so I would highly suggest you purchase a new one to avoid buying one that is also bad. Plus you should get a warranty on it if its new so that's a win win. Hope that helped a bit.
